This morning we decided to take a drive out
to Cameron, about an hour’s drive north.
There is a well known Indian Trading Post there which we visited on our
bus tour in 2004. We thought we’d drive
out and see the changes.
It was an uneventful trip except that the
road has been upgraded and there was a lot more traffic! We went inside and thought it a good idea to
eat some lunch whilst the restaurant wasn’t busy. We had a Navajo Taco (with a base of Indian
Fry Bread – sooooo good!) and coffee.
Great!
The interior of the restaurant - just beautiful!
Spent some time looking at the items for
sale – a large, large selection! Left
after lunch and drove back to Flagstaff, decided to spend the afternoon in the
Historic District. It wasn’t too
busy. We found ourselves at ‘The Lumber
Yard’ – a brew pub and restaurant. David
had a couple of beers (pint sized) and I had a margarita in a pint glass (of course!)…. The beer was good!
Trains rattled by the whole time we were
there – I counted 242 shipping containers on one train being hauled by 4
engines! Wow!
A further walk around the district brought
us up to speed with events in the historical district. Decided to eat the the brew pub and went back
for a great meal!
